I kind of invited myself to mapeling this year with my parents and my brother Bryan and his cute family! The truth is, is that Justin had midterms and felt that he needed sleep and time to study, and was getting neither with us around, so we asked my mom if we could come stay with her, and she said they were going to New York for the mapeling festival and said we should come with her. I was scared of the car ride but it was not bad at all. My poor parents saw each and every rest stop though.lol. Thanks to their patience what usually takes 6 hours for them, took more like 8. It was so much fun though, and Lylia has been asking when she gets to play with her cousins again. Sadly Lylia was not feeling well the day we went to this, so she isn't smiling. Poor baby had a stomach ache. They have this amazing breakfast with the syrup with ham and pancakes and potatoes. It was simply wonderful. I now know why they go each year! It was chilly but they said last year had ice, so I could myself beyond lucky!
On the tractor ride to see the trees tapped. It was really interesting. I got a small one to take home to Justin, and boy does he love the syrup.Gordon bought a gallon size one and we learned that it took 4 spouts to make his. That is a lot of syrup!

So glad you guys came! The girls had a blast playing with Lylia and it's always fun for us to have more grown-ups around. If you stay in the northeast after school, maybe we can talk you into coming again next year and bringing Justin along this time... :D
