Christmas and the New Year!

Justin and I decided that due to being put on bed rest for a week, that I should go to my mom's house because Justin's couldn't stay home to help me and watch Lylia due to work and school, so Lylia and I headed to my mom's house a week early. And I am so glad we did! I am so thankful for my mom and step dad! They are so patient and helpful! Couldn't have done it without them. Christmas just doesn't feel like Christmas without our family tradition of crabs and shrimp on Christmas Eve and then Amish ham on Christmas Day! Both nights of food were AMAZING!!! Oh boy I have missed both fresh good seafood and real Amish Ham.
So here is our Lylia with an Amish pretzel at Amish Market. You can't go to Amish market without having their amazing pretzels. Oh boy I want another one just thinking about it. This was one of my first outings breaking bed rest rules, but I had to. Going to Amish market is one of my favorite childhood memories. The smell the atmosphere, and I love how they are so Christian and so kind. That and everything is so fresh and looks amazing! It was busy but not as packed as it has been in the past!

I also can't go home without going to my favorite Chinese Restaurant. Oh China Dragon! Nothing compares! Lylia loved it and had three plates full. Yep three!!! I use to go here on a regular basis with friends in high School. I am so glad they are still here!

So Jennifer decided that on New Years Eve we should have a blast and play minute to win it. Well we laughed so hard that a few of us threw up but it was so much fun! We have decided to do it every year! This is my mom shaking ping pong balls out of a kleenex box. She wasn't successful.

Bryan and Gordon fishing for candy canes. Bryan conquered!

Lylia loved being around so many aunts, uncles and cousins. This is Lylia doing a handstand on Levi's hands with Jenny watching to make sure he doesn't drop her! Sydney was Lylia's favorite little friend and was so sad when she went home.

And lastly Lylia in my mom's bubble bath tub with her cousin Maddy! Oh she loved it! Although very painful for my ribs, I really didn't want to leave home. It was so nice to be home. We missed Justin for most of our trip but he did come down for three days. We didn't take really any pictures on Christmas because we facetimed with Justin so he could watch Lylia on Christmas morning. But she still has Christmas presents to open when she gets home. She is one spoiled girl and she totally deserves it! So excited for next Christmas because we will have two munchkins instead of one. 6 weeks and counting!

Random thoughts:

Is it really only 6 weeks until your little one arrives? So exciting! I'm pretty sure you need to be posting some updated belly pics.

I can now say from experience that Christmas with two kids is pretty darn awesome. You will love it!

I'm glad you got to have some time with your family and be taken care of. And how awesome that you were able to hit up some of your favorite places and eat some yummy food! In fact, your pictures have inspired me to bake some pretzels today. So thank you!
