During!
I loved this tray and saw something on Pinterest of someone who used it for hanging picutres, and loved the vintage feel of it, and for only $2 at local thrift felt I couldn't pass it up. Little did I think about it though that it wouldn't be magnetic so I just used super powerful magnets and used them on the front and then some one the back. Works beautifully! Also I saw on etsy some beautiful magnets used out of buttons. So on Black Friday I took advantage of the buy one get one free, and made some button magnets! Also I need more family pictures. Want to have a picture of grandparents and great grandparents so Lylia and the baby can know their genealogy. This is very important to me.
I loved these curtains at Ikea, they made me feel light and happy. We got the tie backs from Babies r us for only $4 and they also make it feel more open in their small room!
I liked these little shelves from Target. For only $20 I got two and that is the cheapest I have found!
My mom did some vinyl for us and we wanted to go with a tinker bell theme and princess theme! Thank you mom, we love them!
I never, and I mean never, thought I would do cloth diapers. But I am eating my words! I decided to convert and hopefully save our family loads of money on diapers for the next two years! Since we have our own washer and dryer now, I decided it couldn't be as painful as it would have been prior to us not having a washer and dryer.
Found this little mobile from Ikea as well. It was only $4 I think so I think it matches the tinker bell theme. If you haven't seen the new movies you have to. We love them!
Lylia's side of the room! On my list of projects is a quilt for Lylia in purples and pinks since those are here favorite colors right now.
This is by far one of my favorite vinyls! Lylia loves to spell her name and loves that it is on a castle! Thank you mom!
For Christmas Lylia is getting a kitchen we found on Black Friday. It is going to replace were this shelf is, and so we have to think of a good way to put her puzzles, and her books. Well thanks to an inspiring friend Alicia, we will be changing this out for spice racks on the wall to hold her books, and a puzzle organizer to go on her little clothes dresser that I didn't take pictures of! I am very excited about it!
So there you go! Our beautiful new girls room!!!
If you are wondering why we still refer to it as Lylia's room and the babies room is because we don't have a name for our new arrival. With Lylia we didn't have the name picked out until a day or so before we left the hospital. And it wasn't even on our list of maybe's. So with this little one we have a few names we like, but nothing that we are for sure about until we see her! But I do have to say that there are two names I am leaning towards but I can't think of a cute enough nicknames to go with them. So if we come up with the babies name before we see her, we will share it with you, but knowing Justin and I we will wait until she is in our arms! Only 11 weeks to go!

Very cute! I love the vinyl shaped like a street lamp, and the purple dresser fits right in now! I am chuckling over the cloth diapers because it looks like you dove right in. I've done them and they are great but they are a bit of work. I hope you have some disposable diapers for taking the baby out, because trust me you do not want to lug around a dirty cloth diaper. :) You probably will be better motivated to stick to it, I only bought them because Grant's bum got so sore from having salmonella and I wanted to find a nicer diaper. After he was better I didn't go back to using them (except when he has diaper rash occasionally). They aren't hard to use, just a little more annoying than normal diapers. But they certainly look cuter than disposable diapers, that's for sure.
Anyway, very cute room, love the tray idea especially (the buttons look like vintage jewelry almost!) and I can't wait to see the spice racks. I've seen that done from Ikea and have thought about doing that as well, but, sadly, there is no ikea. You are so lucky!
I recognize those diapers! Hope you are happy with them. I love all the little cute touches all over the room. It looks like a happy, cheerful place to be. We have been super happy with the spice racks, especially because we can rotate the books so Abby always has something new to look at.
As far as baby names, I loved the name Elizabeth but I never wanted her to be called Liz or Lizzy. We were going with Ellie all the way. And then somehow it just didn't feel right and we started accidentally calling her Lizzy, and it stuck. Now Geoff calls her Lizard and I call her Goober, and everyone gives us crusty looks for giving our baby such strange nicknames. So, you pretty much just never know what kind of nicknames a name will spawn. I'm sure you guys will come up with something beautiful!
The room looks amazing!!
