Justin works at Ralph Schugar Funeral Home in Pittsburgh, and although he doesn't like that he doesn't get paid what we feel he is worth, we are still so grateful for the blessings that this job renders to our family. It is in walking distance to Justin's school, and is fairly c

lose to where I work; and on those days where I miss my bus, this is invaluable. We are also thankful for what opportunities this is opening to us. When looking for an internship this is going to be an important part of his resume. So anyway they invited Justin and I to go to the Pittsburgh Funeral Directors Holiday Party. We didn't really know what to expect other than it was g

oing to be a black tie dinner at a nice restaurant. Well we took our $6 for the valet like we had been instructed and when we drove up, we were thinking that maybe the $6 wasn't enough. lol. We walked in and they checked my coat in, and it was so gorgeous! It overlooked the point of Pittsburgh which is where the two rivers come together to form the Ohio river. It truly is one of the most beautiful cities with all of the bridges. Well it was a clear night and so the view was spectacular. I guess it is a $70 a plate dinner event, so we were fortunate to be invited for free. They had drinks, appetizers, yummy Filet Mignon for dinner, and

this really great Cinnamon and nut crusted Ice cream with sauce. They had dancing which was so fun! We had our two slow songs, and it just felt so nice to feel like we belonged. I didn't feel out of place at all, but rather it made us excited for what the future holds for us. Justin and I truly feel like this is where we are meant to be at this point in our lives, and that is truly what brings us happiness in all the chaos, and humbling experiences.
The trees in the front entry way were beautiful! It made it feel like Christmas with all the decorations and it was just a really nice romantic date! Probably one of the last ones we may go on for some time, so I tried to enjoy every minute!

Wow....looks like a pretty ritzy party! You look like you had a nice time and you both look so nice =D. Nice pictures.
I agree with Mom, WOW! Looks like such a ritzy party. Hopefully that means that once Justin is a bona fide funeral guy he'll be making the ritzy money too! :) So glad you got a nice date in before the baby comes, you'll be so glad you went!
It looks lovely, and you both look great all dressed up! I can only hope that one day I'll be fancy enough for a party like that. :)
