Christmas with the Tates!

Have you ever seen that movie Christmas with the Kranks?! Well if not, you need to. Justin and I love this movie. Of coarse we are big Tim Taylor fans. Anyway Christmas was wonderful. Justin woke up a little before 6 and kept moving in bed, so of coarse I woke up. I told him that we can't do Christmas without Lylia, so we decided to make homemade blueberry muffins instead. At the very end of the muffin making process we heard Lylia making noises, and I've never seen Justin so excited to have Lylia awake. We did our normal morning routine, and then had Justin bring Lylia into Christmas. My mom sent us a Manheim Steamroller cd which I had Justin put on along with the Christmas lights before we came out with Lylia. She doesn't understand Christmas at all, but it was fun anyway. Each time she would get a new present and after seeing it, her eyes would get really big and she would get excited. She loved her walker/car the most. Justin's favorite gift was a new bike video and my favorite gift was an autobiography book from my grandpa as well as the movies Justin got me. It was snowing through Christmas presents so we weren't sure if we would be able to go to Justin's dad's home for Christmas breakfast, but we decided to try. The roads were only bad in a few areas, but we were so happy to have gone. Its always nice to be with family. We even got to talk to Justin's brother David who is serving a mission in Chile. We decided to leave Salt Lake City area early so then we could get home long before the big storm was going to hit, but it ended up not hitting until about 6 last night. Oh well I guess. But it was so nice to take an afternoon nap, and watch Fantastic Four last night, and have a nice Christmas dinner. Justin and I have been saving our pennies to have some crab legs for dinner on Christmas, and it was so yummy. Along with butternut squash, sparkling cider, and carrots, and jello! It truly was such a wonderful day. Here are some pictures of Lylia and one of our family!
This is Lylia when she first came into the living room for presents.

Lylia opening her stocking!

Lylia finding a toy from Santa!

Lylia and her car! It turns into a walker when she is a little bigger! She is so cute! We had been wanting one of these for a few weeks now and we found this one at DI for only $5, and it usually retails for $30. It looked practically brand new and just needed to be sanitized!

Justin got this shirt from Chris and Jeni! He loves it!

Lylia is always stealing our remote control, so Justin and I found this one at the dollar store! Its a hit!

This is a video of Lylia enjoying her new toy! She had so much fun playing with Justin on it!

Those were GREAT pictures! It was fun to see her on her new 'car'! Better be saving your pennies because chances are she will want one when she is 16...and I doubt you will find one of those as inexpensive! lol

Everyone just looks so happy. I like Justin's new shirt too :o) Lylia's smiles are just the best!
