So you might be thinking that we are having too much fun for being unemployed, and maybe we are, but we just take it as Heavenly Father's tender mercies for our family. For the 4th of July we stayed at home and enjoyed the new pool that mom got! We helped clear the area out, leveled it, and built the retaining wall. We then had a BBQ and a little firework show on the driveway. It was simple, but yet the best day ever!

| My sweet matching girls! Mom was the master mind behind it, and I am so glad because they were so cute!!! |
My brother invited us all up to come to a work thing that he was having at Lockheed Martin! It was amazing. They had so many blow-up jump houses, food everywhere, and it was all free. It was a lot of fun! We then went to the Palmyra Pagaent. Justin has never been and I was so excited for him to be amazed by it. We were able to go to the Sacred Grove and walk around Joseph Smith's house, and drive by the corner where the four churches had been, and where the Book of Mormon was first printed. It was so wonderful. The spirit was so strong, and like always I came away with an even greater testimony of the truthfulness of this Gospel, and that Joseph did see Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ in that grove of trees. You can't be there and deny that. I am so glad I got to spend it with my family!

A few days ago Gordon was able to get us free tickets to the Aquarium from his work. We were so excited because we wouldn't have been able to afford to go. The tickets would have cost our family of four $100. So we were thrilled to get in for free!!! Lylia has loved watching one of my favorite shows as a child, "Arthur" and in one of the episodes he goes to the Aquarium where he gets to watch a dolphin show. She was beyond excited about going to this aquarium because they have a dolphin show! It was great. She was so excited about the show that she didn't care about anything else. One fish looked like every other fish to her. But it was still so much fun. They are installing a huge coral reef, and they have to introduce each fish one or two at a time. So for 1,500 fish that will take a lot of time.
I just remembered that we also went to Washington DC. My Aunt Venita was in town and my mom wanted to go and see her. So we all met up in Washington DC. Lylia also wanted to go really badly because yet again "Arthur" went to DC in one of the episodes. So wanted to see Lincoln Memorial and the White House, but we didn't have time in this trip. We went instead to the Museum of American History, National Archives (I totally heart this place!!!!!) and the Museum of Natural History. It was a long hot day, but the girls did really good. Meg finally fell asleep after Grandma took her for a walk. Yet again we are so spoiled to be living so close to so many wonderful things. I love that our girls may grow up here because there is truly so much history around us. I'll post some pictures for you all to see!
