Bonsai
I went to my first bonsai class on the 27th and I LOVED it! It was the best 3 hours ever. I got a babysitter and went from 7 to 10 pm. There were three of us, and it was seriously so peaceful. This is my first bonsai. This little tree is about 8 years old. I had to wire it and will be able to take those off in a year. We did a little landscaping and of course repotted it. I learned so much about plants. I have to get some more supplies in a few weeks, and I already have my next class in mind. The tree I really want to do is a Japanese Maple. Those are outside trees only, so I am going to take that class in the summer. It was truly such a wonderful. I came home feeling so full of excitement. Like that feeling I have when I have gone for a long run. This like ficus sits in my bathroom, and I get to look at it several times a day, and I just love that! The ground coverings will eventually take over the whole thing. I am going to take the lime stone away. I don't like it after all. You can do moss but it is hard to keep moss a live and healthy. So maybe when I have been more advanced. I also want to do exposed roots on this tree. I won't be able to uncover them though for another year. This hobby is one in which takes time. But I hope time is something I'll have plenty of. If you prune the leaves they should grow in more full and smaller, which is what I will be doing as it grows more. Anyway I wanted to share it with you and I look forward to my next one!

What a cute little tree! I will be fun to watch how it progresses over the years. I'm so glad you found a place to do this...i know you have wanted to for a long time!
