Reading in the Fall

We live down the hill from this beautiful mountain. And one day while we were going to a friends home I fell upon this beautiful lake. It is seriously only 5 minutes from where we live and I had no idea it was there. It is just over the little mountain we live next to. It is so strikingly beautiful, and so incredibly peaceful. Justin and I thought if we could paint, we would paint this landscape. It was a beautiful crisp late afternoon. I was so excited to show Justin that as soon as he got home we drove up, and he loved it as much as I did. This is where we get to go fishing, and not only that but they do ice fishing. I was joking with a friend that we would go up here for ice fishing for a girls weekend.
This is known as the national mother's tree. Who would have thought! lol. It was pretty sad looking and it had what I thought were graves but they were monuments to the tree dedication.
There are lots of salmon in this lake!
 Me and my girls!
Take out the porta potty and this is so perfect. Like an Anne of Green Gables movie perfect! There is a really awesome waterfall just past that light house looking thing. It is pretty amazing, but no real way to hike to it.
Just one of the beautiful stone fenced roads down the street from us.
 The beautiful Japanese Maple!
The Pagoda and a view of the valley!
You might be asking what the heck is this doing here, and well your guess is as good as ours. We have heard different stories but one of them is that it was going to be a restaurant, and they could never get their liquor license so they never used it. But it has a great view!
 Reading
Another view of reading. We live just 5 minutes from here.
The day just got slightly better that by the time we got home we saw this beautiful cloud formation with the sun rays coming out. All of this just makes my spirit happy. These beautiful things are evidence that Heavenly Father loves his children!

Gorgeous! Now I'm convinced that we have to come visit soon! Adam will love seeing the Pagoda since his mission was in Brasil. What an incredible place.
