Waiting for the tour to begin!
Lylia went on her first field trip on September 27th to Weaver Orchards. Megan and I were lucky enough to tag along! It was perfect orchard weather. It had just rained and the air was a little crisp!
Learning about apples before we get to pick one! Mrs. Campbell is Lylia's preschool teacher and she is on the far right. This little girl next to Lylia use to be a bit of a bully but this picture was the start of a friendship. They learned they have a lot of things in common, and I am thankful that Lylia has a teacher who is brave enough to pair them together so that they are forced to get to know each other.
One day Lylia came home and said that she had been pushed, and that she was told that she wasn't nice or that no one wanted to be her friend. It broke my heart. The teacher brought it up the next day and said she would keep an eye on it. It went on for a few days, and I was getting really worried because my sweet Lylia would cry over it. But my little Lylia prevailed and I just kept telling her that this little girl just needed to be shown more love than anyone else. And that is just what Lylia did. She showed her love.
So proud of her apple!
Picking her apple
Learning about how to make apple cider! And Johnny Appleseed!
She got to see inside a bees hive. She was so excited to tell everyone that her Grandpa was a bee keeper!
Megan was so good, she just enjoyed being out and about!
Look at that goat! They go up there and just sit.
The apple cider was so good!!!

that whole bully thing would make me sad too. i am impressed with the advice that you gave her, and it's probably good advice for all of us. i don't know how anyone could resist liking lylia though, she has such a fun and happy personality! you are having all sorts of fun. i guess i need to move to reading.
I am so impressed with Lylia's kindness and her ability to make friends. She was always the most friendly, adorable girl at church and her 'school' in Pittsburgh.
