 So with a few dollars from the proceeds of our yard sale, Justin graciously allowed me to get my hair done! It makes me feel more my age and that is a good thing!

Lylia and I had our first toe nail painting night! It took all of 2 minutes really! lol. First I painted Lylia's and then she painted mine!

As any good mother would do I left it like that for a day, and then I pretended that a magic spell took it away. Lylia was disappointed her magic spell didn't work on her toes! I guess I'll show her my secret potion, aka Nail polish remover! lol

 Justin's parents came in to town for a whole week! We were so happy to have them here! Justin has had school off for two weeks, and we have been LOVING it!!! Truly can't wait until school is done so we can spend more time together!

Well anyway, we got tickets from Groupon for a boat ride down into a total of three rivers! It was hot in the sun, but when we finally found shade on the boat it was so relaxing. Kelly took Megan for a walk around the boat so that I could enjoy the ride, and Justin took Lylia up and down all the floors of the boat. Janet held Megan for a time as well! We got to learn some great history of Pittsburgh, and I appreciate it so much more. The bridges make me smile! I have always loved bridges and at one time I thought I wanted to be an architect just so I could design a bridge. So I am thankful to leave here where there are so many beautiful bridges.

 A visit to our house would not be complete without going to a cemetery! LOL, I know I know... And Janet and Kelly are good sports. I have been dying to walk around some of the gorgeous old cemeteries around here, and the other night someone recommended the Allegheny Cemetery. So we told Janet about the bird watching there and sprang it on Kelly at the last minute that we were going to Justin's mortuary school and then a cemetery. I think he thought we were kidding. Kelly has gotten to know us better I think! lol. So thankfully he joined in on the fun like he always does, and we walked around the cemetery. Justin and I must be made for each other because I would do this for a date any day of the week! It is so peaceful and beautiful in cemeteries and I love the history and genealogy aspect of course. I just can't get enough of it! Justin and I always tease my mom that for our Christmas card each year we will get our picture taken in the cemetery! Well here it is mom!

There were several Egyptian themed ones.

 Lylia was such a good sport, and enjoyed walking around too! Starting her out young! People are going to think she is so weird and that her mom and dad are weird. But you bet your bottom dollar that we will have the best Halloween decorations! lol

This set of tomb stones broke my heart. All babies that died to the same mother. My heart broke for hers, and I am just so glad she is with them again. I imagine it was a very difficult life for her. 

Kelly pointed these ones out to us! Poor stiffs! 

They had some really awesome war memorials, here is just one of them! 

 I really loved the quote on this one, "Ours for a day, Thine while the ages blossom."

Lylia loved all the flowers. She would have picked them for ourselves if we hadn't been watching her like hawks. 

Isn't this statue beautiful?! It brought peace to my heart when I saw it. I could sit and stare at it all day. "I believe in Christ! He is my King! With all my heart to Him I'll sing!"

Seriously reminds me of all of my favorite British movies!

Across the street from the cemetery was this restaurant. We didn't eat there, but that would have been funny!

Janet and Kelly were so gracious while they were here and treated us to so yummy food. We went to our favorite sub shop that is well known in the area for their Philly cheese steaks. Yummy! Thanks again Kelly and Janet!

Hitting the ball didn't really happen much!

They had a children's festival downtown where Lylia had her first experience with tennis! It was fun to watch her and gave us some good ideas of things to do with her.

The roving art cart goes from park to park during the summer and allows kids to do crafts for free!

Remember these as kids! 









Lylia as you can tell was excited to feed the animals until well they came near us! The milk was the most fun to feed them. It was like feeding a sweet baby!

Frick park is a great huge park in our back yard practically. Janet got to enjoy bird watching while everyone else enjoyed running around. Did I mention we loved having them here?! 

They even took Lylia to the park to play a few times! She loved every minute of it! 









In other random news, my favorite new thing of Megan's is that she loves to suck her thumb. I know that it is bad in the long run, but it sure is sweet right now! Love this baby with all my heart!

I am not sure what they were watching on the ipad, but Megan just LOVES to be around Lylia. When ever Megan is crying on the floor without fail if Lylia just talks to her, she calms right down! I love my girls with all my heart! I am blessed to have them! 

 And lastly the last person I love with all my heart is my sweet heart Justin. This is his finished project for his restorative art class! Turned out pretty awesome I think! I am so proud of him! He worked really hard on it. And yes he doesn't want to throw it away, so I told him that if he doesn't do anything with it by the time we leave it may have to be donated to the school. He of course loved that idea! lol.
