A sneak Preview!

So for those of you that don't know this about me, I love before and afters! Who doesn't!!? I love when things turn out more polished and put together. My sister pretty much brought this out of me, with her many inspiring projects.
So you saw this crib a week or so ago, and here are a few updated pictures. I don't have everything remotely close to being done, but I thought I would post a small preview of the crib that I painted. It is coming together, but there are still a few little projects I am waiting to finish before I want to post the big reveal!

I am super excited with how everything is coming together though! I must already be nesting!

The first step priming! Oh and to answer Alicia's question, so I don't feel confident in painting either, so I called my sister who is. She suggested this primer that can be put on anything. It was kind of a pain on this surface because it was like fake plastic. After three coats I finally felt I could move onto the real paint color. Then we saw that Sherwin Williams had an amazing sale, and bought paint there. It also had three coats. It was water based I guess, whereas the primer we used was oil based. All I know is that I asked the guys at the paint shop that it was going to be used on a crib and that is what they suggested over the oil primer.

Justin and Lylia putting the crib together!

Don't you love the sneak peak of the vinyl?! I love it!!!

Okay, I think you have inspired me to actually do something about Elizabeth's crib. The problem is, it's not really that horrible looking, it's just not what I want. So I keep procrastinating. The other problem is that if I do it myself, Geoff will tell me the millions of ways in which I did it wrong (visible brush strokes, bad painting technique, etc.) so really what I need to do is inspire him to do it for me. :) Your crib turned out cute and I love the vinyl on the wall!
