President's Office

So at work yesterday we were informed that this Friday there was going to be a special event held in our office and that due to this we would have to vacate the building for a period of the day.
Well in course of my day I was covering our front desk. Some people came in that appeared to work for the university and started examining our furniture, and asked if they could measure the bookself that was located behind where I was sitting. She introduced herself as, "I'm Carol I am from the office of the President." I didn't really know what that meant, but her demenor was to not ask questions but simply say okay. So I did. Well they mentioned they may take the shelf out of the office, and so I figured I should say something to my bosses assistant in case they didn't know. So I sent a simple e-mail explaining what was said and who said it.
Well 20 minutes goes by then Debbie comes out demands I talk to her and gets my friend to cover the front desk for me. Then immediately says with a mean tone, that I should have e-mailed her directly and what was this about anyway. So I stated my conversation I had, had with Carol, and then she said, "Kelly there is NO Presidents office here only a Chancellors Office. So you are wrong. Who is this person. You should have gotten more information, this is unacceptable." And wouldn't let me explain it any further she just walked away.
I walked away thinking to myself that I know that I had not heard her incorrectly and I didn't know why I was getting yelled at for simply letting them know about it. But I tried to just forget about it.
Well today I found out that Vice President Biden is coming to speak in our building tomorrow. Then I started to think of this incident and thought, I WAS RIGHT! She was from the Presidents office just not the schools Presidents Office. Oh even though I know she will never apologize to me, it makes me crack up laughing! She is always looking for something to yell at me about, but what I love is that it is something I was actually right about. Hmmm....Just had to share that. So funny!
