So Lylia was a mermaid for Halloween, we just happened to find this costume on craigslist for $8, and with a little sewing adjustments it fit her perfectly. I picked Lylia up from school and gave her the option of just going home or going trick or treating. She choose the later of course. So I guess we just happen to live a block away from the best place to trick or treat in all of Pittsburgh. It was pretty great. There were so many kids. What they do here for trick or treating is that each city has hours in which kids can trick or treat. For Pittsburgh it was from 5:30 to 7:30. So we were out for an hour before Lylia said she was cold and done. It was 45 degrees and it was raining, so I a
m surprised she lasted as long as she did. Here are some pictures!
m surprised she lasted as long as she did. Here are some pictures! There was one house that had a bowl of candy sitting out and so I told her to grab a piece and as she did the little hand in the bowl went down, and she was so scared. Other than that she had a great time, and was so incredibly sweet and would say thank you and Happy Halloween every time she would get a piece of candy. The only thing missing from our night was Justin. He had to work unfortunately.
Lylia also went trick or treating at her pre-school today and got a huge bag full. Justin asked me last night, "Is it unethical to steal a piece from her bag?" lol. Love my duckies!

so glad you got to go, and i am laughing that justin asked you for permission to steal candy from lylia's bag, that is parent tax, no permission needed! :)
