Family Home Evening...The tent of our Fathers!

So the other night was Family Home Evening for us. We usually do it on Sunday evenings now because that is the least stressful time of the week, and where Justin gets out of work early, and we can have a nice family dinner and then relax together in the evening. So I was in charge of the whole thing. We got a crib mattress delivered to us by amazon the other day, and this inspired my FHE idea!

We first started in the tent of our Fathers! Like Lehi's tent!

Then Lylia was commanded to find the golden plates and to find tools to make a boat. Justin was commanded to find something to make a boat out of! And then we all were commanded to build a boat together so that we could be lead to the promised land!

Lylia and Justin had a fun time figuring out the sail, and with Lylia's help of finding the elmo sail, we were able to make it to the promised land of milk and cookies. I mean milk and honey. lol.

She just wanted to go for rides in the boat for the rest of the night. We even had a fake storm that we all had to repent and then the storm went away!

We have deemed this as one of the most fun Family Home Evening nights yet! Justin try and beat that! lol.

Wow, you are so creative! I thought I was doing well last night for FHE when we played with animal puppets and then read an extra story before bedtime. At least we know we're teaching our child right when she insists on saying "the end" instead of "amen" at the end of all of her prayers... :) Oh wait, maybe not.
