I am at work and it is a little slow, so I decided to update my family on our lives.
Our car decided to start giving us trouble, so we upgraded to a beautiful Saturn Vue. We are truly so grateful to have a newer car that doesn't give us worries as to how far to drive, or that the trunk is over flowing with water, or that we can't drive well in the snow, or just plain mechanical issues. So we truly are so thankful for this beautiful newer car. I know this sounds dumb, but I have been praying about our old car practically every night, so its nice to give Heavenly Father a break on that one now. lol. Thank you to those of you who helped us with our cars. We are so thankful!
In other exciting news Justin has turned in his nursing application to Southern Utah University. We will hear back hopefully sometime in April. If we get in, then we will move down there sometime probably in August. If not we will be staying here at the U to get more experience, and then reapply to SUU, and then the University of Utah. We are excited to finally be at this point in our schooling. Once we are in, then its just a two year program. We have enjoyed our time at the U of U, but are extremely excited about the possibility of SUU.
People are asking, and to explain why Justin isn't applying to certain schools I thought I would put a little in here about it. I love Justin and I support him in everything that he does. Justin and I both feel that we want to get into school sooner than later. We also want to be where we feel it is right. There are several schools in Utah that their nursing program isn't a bachelors program, but only an associates degree. Justin wants his bachelors degree, so only schools that offer bachelor programs are the one's we are applying to. We don't want to have to apply to get into a program, to only have to apply two years later to another just to get what we should have gotten in the first place, which is a bachelors degree. So that takes out Utah State, Weber, and SLCC. Westminster is too expensive, and the U only allows you to apply once a year. And BYU doesn't allow you to apply if you have retaken a class more than once. We don't know if we will get in sooner than later, but we have trust that there is a time and place for everything and a reason for everything. We are just trying to enjoy the ride. Truly what brings us happiness is that we are a family, with a sweet baby girl. Nothing matters to us except that. We just look forward to the future.
Lylia is doing really well. She is just so much fun to be around and so active. She just jibber jabbers all the time. Lately her favorite things to talk about are dadda, chu chu's (train or bus), elmo still, baby's, froggy (her blanket), or her bibi (binkie). Lately she hasn't wanted Justin to do anything with her. She will make a huge deal if I am there and he is about to take her out of the car, she will say, "No no daddy. Momma." She has said several sentences, and it still amazes me when I can understand her. When she does eat, her favorite foods are: jello, lunchables, and very much otterpops which she calls papas. She doesn't like to sit in the bathtub anymore for bathtime. She thinks she can hide behind her hands. And she loves to give us kisses, and foot rubs with lotion. Some funny stories about her are that she loves lotion. She always wants us to put lotion on her hands and then she puts it on us, but the funny part is the sound she makes when we give it to her. Its the sound of her lips chomping like she is eatting something. So funny! The other day I asked her if she wanted more fruit snacks, she said, "No mas." I haven't been teaching her spanish but she said it twice. That cracked me up.
We just moved back into a two bedroom apartment trying to save money. The apartment itself has been really nice. As my mom puts it "cozy". I don't know what I love so much about it, but it just feels like life is simpler now, and that is a great feeling. We are still trying to make friends in our new ward. I miss our other ward so much that it has been hard. But I know that it will get easier with time.
Well anyway we are excited for this year. We have some great family goals and are excited to become better people and parents this year. We will post pictures and videos soon.

Very nice update :o) I am looking forward to seeing the 'cozy' place.
Love the update. I think it's fabulous that you now have a reliable car. Who would judge you for wanting to have reliable transportation? Not me. :) I'm looking forward to learning how to make that wheat bread. yummm
