It has been almost two weeks since our 8 lbs 6 oz, 20 inch long little Lylia has made her arrival. After 26 hours of labor and the surprising c-section, she made her way into our lives! We are so happy she is here. She is such a content baby, and hardly cries except when she is hungry or yawning. Every time she cries I have a hard time not just laughing because she is just so cute and everything I wanted a little baby to be! She makes me smile when I am tired, and cry when I don't expect it. My favorite mommy moment thus far I think was last night when I was holding her close watching her fall asleep and smiles just kept coming to her little face. It was so sweet and so tender. It truly touched my heart in a way that I think only other mothers can understand.
My mom has been out here helping us with the baby. I don't think I would have survived the first few days home without her. She would take the baby at night when I just didn't
have the energy to walk Lylia around. And she was here to help me up from a couch that didn't use to seem so low. lol. Mom was so wonderful in everyway. She left today and I am so sad. I am so grateful for mothers who love their children. Thank you mom for helping us
in more ways than one. I wish I could repay you in someway for the strength you give to me. Here are a few pictures that we got before our camera broke. Hope you like them!

Hey Kelly,
Glad to see that you're coping well with being a mom. That's a fun picture of Mom giving Lylia a bath - bathtime is the best! Just remember to not get too discouraged during those long nights :)
So cute! I've been waiting for a post. I need to send you my pictures from the day she was born. I'll do it one of these days that I'm not building a basement. :) And hey, I miss talking to you. Hope everything's going okay.
I liked your update. And of course I liked the pictures!! You are a good little mommy and that little Lylia seems to like you too! (Especially to sleep on!)
